Scholarships through OASIS are mainly of two types, Pre Matric and Post Matric but they are further divided into divisions on the basis of social categories. The schemes that the Government of West Bengal provides to the students through OASIS are as follows:
WB Oasis Pre Matric Scholarship
Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST: SC/ST students whose family income is less than Rs. Under this scheme Rs 2 lakh per year will get monthly stipend for 10 months. Hostellers will get Rs. 750 per month and annual ADHOC grant of Rs. 1000. Whereas, the scholars of the day will get monthly assistance of Rs. 150 and ADHOC grant of Rs. 750 per year.
WB Oasis Post Matric Scholarship
Post Matric Scholarship for OBC: Students who belong to OBC and their family earning less than Rs. 1 lakh will be benefitted every year from this scheme. They will get financial assistance as per the following criteria prescribed for the eligible students of this scheme:
