New Features and Installation Guide for Apple iOS 16.4 Update Release
On Monday, Apple globally released the iOS 16.4 update for both iPad and iPhone users, marking the fourth major update for the iOS 16 operating system. To download the update, users can navigate to 'Settings', 'General', and then click on 'Software Update'. The update includes several new features such as Safari web notifications for websites added to the Home Screen, Voice Isolation for clearer phone calls, updates to podcasts, and a new Homekit architecture. Additionally, Apple has added over 21 new emojis, including shaking head, pink heart, blue heart, gray heart, donkey, moose, black bird, goose, wing, jellyfish, hyacinth, and more. The update also features voiceover support for maps in the weather app, fixed an issue where Ask to Buy requests may fail to appear on the parent’s device, and added the ability to detect duplicate photos and videos in an iCloud Shared Photo Library. Other updates include an accessibility setting to automatically dim videos when flashes of light or strobe effects are detected and crash detection optimizations on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.
